Convert Multiple PNRs at Once: Batch & Group Booking Guide

Group bookings are where manual PNR conversion really falls apart. A family of six, a 20-person tour group, a corporate block booking — each passenger or sub-booking might come as its own PNR, and converting them one at a time, copy-paste by copy-paste, turns a five-minute job into a thirty-minute one.

Batch conversion fixes exactly this: paste multiple PNRs into the converter at once, and get back every itinerary, converted and ready, in a single pass.

How to Turn It On

Batch/Group Mode lives under Advanced Tools & Settings on the main converter, collapsed by default to keep the everyday single-PNR flow clean. Open it, flip on Batch / Group Mode, and the converter switches from expecting one PNR to expecting several.

1. Open Advanced Tools & SettingsClick the panel below the Convert button on the PNRGenius homepage.
2. Turn on Batch / Group ModeA single toggle switch — no separate page, no separate tool to learn.
3. Paste all your PNRs into the boxOne after another. Separate them with a line of dashes if you want explicit control over where each booking starts and ends.
4. Click ConvertEvery PNR in the batch is parsed and returned as its own itinerary card.

Two Ways to Separate Bookings

You have two options, and you can mix them across a session depending on what's easiest for the source text you're working with:

Explicit separators

Add a line of three or more dashes (---) between each PNR. This is the most reliable option — PNRGenius trusts your boundaries exactly and splits strictly on those lines.

Auto-detect

If you don't add separators, PNRGenius watches for a new passenger-definition line (like 1.SMITH/JOHN MR) that shows up after the current block already has at least one real flight segment — a strong signal that a new PNR has started. This is deliberately conservative: it won't split a single PNR just because it has a blank line in the middle of it.

What You Get Back

Each PNR in the batch converts independently into its own itinerary — same passenger names, flight segments, layover detection, and PNR Health Check warnings you'd get converting it on its own. A summary shows how many succeeded and how many had errors, so a single malformed booking in a batch of twenty doesn't block the other nineteen.

The Limit, and Why It's There

Batches are capped at 25 PNRs. It's a practical ceiling, not an arbitrary one — it keeps conversion fast and keeps a single paste from accidentally becoming an unreadable wall of text. For anything larger, running two batches back-to-back takes a few extra seconds and is still dramatically faster than converting one at a time.
