Sometimes the raw PNR text just isn't available to copy. A colleague forwards you a WhatsApp screenshot of a booking. A client sends a photo of a printed confirmation. An old itinerary only exists as an image buried in an email thread from months ago. In every one of these cases, typing out the PNR by hand — character by character, guessing at a smudged digit or a cut-off line — is the only alternative. Screenshot upload removes that step entirely.
How to Use It
- Open Advanced Tools & SettingsOn the PNRGenius homepage, below the Convert button.
- Upload the screenshot or photoAny clear image of the raw GDS booking text.
- Review the extracted textThe text pulled from the image lands in the same box you'd normally paste into — give it a quick glance before converting.
- Click ConvertSame result as pasting the text yourself: a full, structured itinerary.
Where This Actually Gets Used
- Forwarded screenshots. A colleague or client sends a booking as an image rather than text — common in WhatsApp-heavy workflows.
- Old or printed confirmations. A booking that only exists as a photo of a printed page or an old screen capture.
- When you're away from the GDS. A quick photo of a screen is sometimes faster to capture than logging in to pull the raw text, especially from a phone.
OCR (text recognition) does the heavy lifting, but GDS fonts are dense and screenshots vary in quality. Treat the extracted text the way you'd treat a first draft — a quick scan before converting catches the rare misread character before it turns into a wrong flight time on a client's itinerary.
Same Converter Underneath
Once the text is extracted, everything else works exactly like the standard converter — GDS auto-detection, layover calculation, PNR Health Check warnings, PDF export, translation into 25+ languages. The screenshot upload only changes how the text gets into the box, not what happens once it's there.
